Most major scenic areas in Yili are accessible with a standard Chinese visa and passport registration. However, specific border areas (like Horgos Port) require a Border Pass, which we arrange fully in advance for our guests.

Given the vast distances, private chartered vehicles (4WD or comfortable SUVs) are highly recommended. This allows you to stop at scenic viewpoints along the Duku Highway and Yizhao Highway freely.

Layered clothing is essential because temperatures vary wildly between day and night (even in summer). Bring a windproof jacket, sturdy hiking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and hydration gear.
